The 2008 European Corrosion Congress (EUROCORR) was held on September 7-11 in Edinburgh, Scotland. This International Conference was led by the Institute of Corrosion with support from the UK Corrosion Coordination Group, and assistance from the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, NACE UK and the Institute of Metal Finishing.
The technical sessions centered on topics related to corrosion technology and engineering and their role in extending the useful life of materials. Special symposia were held covering the interests of the key O&G sectors – corrosion in oil and gas production, refinery process corrosion, and marine corrosion.
NTIC, which was joined by its European Partners from Czech Republic, Finland, France, and the UK, presented the following papers during the technical sessions on Refinery Corrosion and Corrosion in Oil and Gas Production:
-CORROSION PROTECTION OF OIL STORAGE TANK TOPS
-CORROSION PROTECTION OF CRUDE OIL STORAGE TANKS BOTTOMS (INTERNAL SURFACE)
-CORROSION PROTECTION OF REINFORCED CONCRETE STRUCTURES
-MAIN PRINCIPLES FOR DEVELOPMENT OF SACRIFICIAL ANODIC ALLOYS
